There's a new kind of AI called ChatGPT (and the updated version, GPT-4) that's getting better and better. It brings new challenges, but experts say it can also help us learn new things in really cool ways.
ChatGPT is a special computer program made by a company called OpenAI. It can talk like a person and give information from the internet in a friendly way. It can even write poems like Shakespeare, help with dating, answer school questions and write essays, which some teachers might not like. People who have tried the new version called GPT-4 say it's even better than before and can do more things.
There is always a potential for students to gain an unfair advantage in writing their essays or engage in cheating during exams with software of this nature. The New York Times article sheds light on specific cases and showcases universities' efforts to revamp their curriculum in order to counteract these issues.
